5 Things I Want My Kids To Know Before They Grow Up

I was tagged by Pat to write down 5 things that I want my kids to know before they grow up. It was a nice topic and I posted it here because it is more appropriate than in my other blog. Here it goes:

(1) God is the center of our lives and cultivating a personal relationship with him is the most important thing in the world. We may not be always there for them but HE will.

(2) We love them unconditionally. It doesn’t matter if they are not the brightest nor the best looking nor the most talented among their peers. We love them just the same.

(3) We correct them not because we are mean or just being plain difficult but because we care for them and we love them.

(4) I want them to value time, hard work and money. So we want to teach them how to work at home by sharing in household chores appropriate to their age.

(5) Spoiled children are never happy. It’s not fun to get everything you want. Obeying parents is still the best and they are given by God to be your guide as you grow up.
