We were alarmed last night because on of our neighbors was diagnosed with dengue. Her platelet was down to 27 and we are all worried because the doctors said she needs blood transfusion. We are one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and we absolutely follow what the Bible says and it clearly says : abstain from blood.
Our elders talked to the doctors about our belief and our firm decision not to have any blood transfusion. They are still monitoring her condition and we were glad to hear that her platelet count went higher this morning.
We were all alarmed because she is a stay at home mom and most probably she got bitten by the mosquito in our compound. So we had a general cleaning this morning and made sure that there are no breeding grounds for mosquitoes. I am worried because we have three kids in this compound and it would be devastating if they’ll have dengue too. You can view all the good tips to prevent dengue here.
An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Hopefully, we’ve got rid of the pesky mosquito.

Sinabi mo pa Apols kasi madami rin namamatay dahil wala naman talagang gamot dun. Dapat lang makayanan ng katawan.
