Teaching Him How to Write
0 Comments Published February 20th, 2008 in Learning, Milestones, Mom's Thoughts, Parenting.Since our 23 month old son is now acquainted with the alphabet, shapes, colors and numbers, we are now trying to teach him something new. We are thinking of teaching him how to write as he is going to be two years old in a few weeks.
We bought him some crayons and cheap pens to help him get started. We’ve also repeat the basic rule to write only on the paper as we wouldn’t want our walls be vandalized with scribbles.
So far he’s been having fun scribbling. I’m still not sure whether he’s a right or left handed because he can switch from one hand to another with ease. I’m also thinking of buying cheap coloring books so that he can practice his fine motor skills more.
Who knows he might be writing some shapes and alphabets soon. But I hope he doesn’t get after me. I’m very lazy writing things with ink and paper.
